History

ARDEX was founded in Witten, Germany in 1949. The Group can proudly look back on over 70 years’ history as a family-owned company.

2010's - Today

In the last decade, ARDEX has been staying true to its values, focusing especially on the ability to offer full system solutions to our customers around the world. This resulted in investments in family companies with adjacent product offerings, significant portfolio extensions in the Americas, Asia and New Zealand and new production facilities in Turkey, Asia, the US and Australia.

1990's - 2000's

The 1990’s and 2000’s were marked by a significant growth in ARDEX’ footprint in Europe as well as across the world; through joint ventures, acquisitions and the foundation of new local businesses, ARDEX was now present on most continents. Simultaneously, investments in new equipment and production sites allowed ARDEX to extend its product portfolio, adding flooring adhesives and decorative surfaces to their offerings.

1970's – 1980's

In the 1970’s and 80’s, ARDEX continued its international path with market entries in the Unites States and Eastern & Southern Europe. ARDEX’ passion for product development and new technologies led to the launch of K 15, which is still the industry benchmark in leveling compounds today!

1950's – 1960's

Expansion of the European business, market entries in Austria, France, UK and Scandinavia.
