21,000 m2 production and warehouse installation in one mobilisation
25 days to complete the floor so racking and equipment could be installed
Summer installation, temperature at 40 degrees Celsius
Severe levelling issues
Material to be supplied from the minimum number of batches to avoid colour variations
Heavy forklift traffic
Aesthetic appeal of the floor, seamless look
Solution: AME converted the specification from BASF PU flooring whose factory is just 200 metres away from the site. The screed laid by the contractor had level variations up to 4 mm as measured by a laser machine. The client wanted seamless floor without any joints, except the structural joints. All the materials had to be shifted without any interruption to provide continuity.
This was AME’s first PU project and the client requested that it be managed by ARDEX. AME was present throughout the project to ensure that the full ARDEX system was installed per the recommendations.
The opening was attended by Omar Al Mesmar, DIP’s General Manager and other dignitaries. The client was very pleased with the outcome of the product, and the service provided.
